The chance is that you have known Pokémon for some 25 years when it was first introduced in the Nintendo Game Boy cartridges. Back then, you could be forgiven not to know what Pokémon is. But not today, not after such a long time and endearing legacy.


So, it’s not easy to choose the best three Pokémon games, After spending hours with the Nintendos and playing Pokémon, how can one choose a few, leaving the others! Yet, we tried to do just that and picked out the three best Pokémon games of all time below.


3. Pokémon Crystal (GBC)


The ultimate version of Pokémon Gold and Silver, Pokémon Crystal kept the fans enthralled for many many hours. For the first time, gamers could choose the sex for their characters to make the gameplay more personable. It also came equipped with animated Pokémon sprites and the Battle tower. The trainers could also take parts in stadium-like fights.


2. Pokémon Gold and Silver (GBC)


A game that was released way back in the early nineties, it’s surprising how it still managed to take the runner-up spot. Pokémon Gold and Silver introduced the real-time clock, yet we fans seem to have forgotten to keep track of time ourselves.


Coming to the Game Boy colour, it was rich with items including the debutant Shiny Pokémon, Steel and Dark Pokémon, brand new PokéBalls and Pokégear. Gosh, those were the days!


1. Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver (DS)


The best Pokémon game of all time is the Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver. No argument, period! Yes, we have said it! It was released as the Nintendo DS remake of the previous champion Gold and Silver, but it stormed to the crown in a heartbeat!


It kept the design of the Gold and Silver, included all the upgrades found in Crystal, and gave Yellow a cool ability! What more could you really ask for?!
