New iPhone SE 2020
After years of speculations, finally, Apple has announced the new iPhone SE on 15th April 2020. Although, it’s the second iteration of the much-loved SE line-up, Apple is simply calling it the iPhone SE. It pretty much looks and feels like the iPhone 8 released back in 2017, but the internals including the camera sensor has got a massive upgrade. Pre-order has already begun on 17th April, with the release date set for Friday, April 24, 2020.
Key Specifications
As expected, the iPhone SE is a compact, yet powerful phone that is great for handling. Below you can find all the key specifications of the new iPhone SE:
Display: Just like the iPhone 8, the iPhone SE has a 4.7-inch Retina HD display with 750x1334 resolutions.
Camera: The iPhone SE comes with a single camera setup at the back with a 12 MP sensor and f/1.8 (wide) aperture. It is the same main camera found in the iPhone 11 line-up and can record up to 4K videos at 60fps. The single front camera has a 7 MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture.
Water Resistance: The phone has an IP67 dust and water resistance, which effectively means that it can withstand submersion in water of up to 1m for 30 minutes.
Chipset: Another similarity to the top-notch iPhone 11 line-up is found in the chipset, thanks for its A13 (7 nm+) Hexa-core bionic chip with 4-core Apple GPU.
Colour: The iPhone SE is available in three different colours – White, Black, and Red. Whichever colour option you choose, however, the front of the phone would come sporting a black rail.
Battery: Powered by an 1821 mAh battery, the phone is supposed to last up to 3 hours of video playback.
Price: The basic 64GB model is priced at shockingly affordable £419, while the 128GB and the 256GB model would cost £469 and £569 respectively.
