Easter Egg Hunt: The Supermarkets with the Cheapest Easter Eggs
Every year, weeks before Easter comes, people start to plan for their Easter egg hunt strategies. It includes listing the number of children in the family, setting up an egg hunting game, and of course, shopping for some deliciously chocolatey Easter eggs.
While finding some eggs is not a big deal, finding a great (read cheapest) deal on it is pretty close to an Easter egg hunt game in itself. It doesn’t have to be this way though, with us going out hunting ourselves and listing down the UK supermarkets offering the cheapest deal on Easter eggs.
The Cheapest Easter Eggs at Supermarkets
Unfortunately, there is no straightforward answer to which is the supermarket selling the cheapest Easter eggs. So, the best way to approach it is to shop around and buy different sized eggs from different stores.
Anyways, let’s find out which Easter eggs are selling for what prices from below.
Small to Medium Eggs
When it comes to small to medium-sized Easter eggs, Morrison and Asda come on top with their 99p prices for either size. It can’t go any better than this, as you can just skip buying any small eggs. Tesco is running them close with a £1.00 price for both sizes, while Sainsbury’s raised the price for the medium-sized eggs by 25p.
Large Eggs
In this category, there are plenty of offers going on to organize an egg hunt. If you have a Tesco Clubcard, you would get a £2.00 price for one, which rises to £5.00 without a club membership - same as Iceland. Asda doesn’t make it this complicated though, with its 4 for £10.00 the best in the market.
Extra-large Eggs
If you want your Easter eggs to be the party stopper, some extra-large eggs are the way to go. Iceland is offering the best price at £8.00 for each, which is followed by Sainsbury’s and Asda at £10.00. Tesco also offers the £10.00 price for the Clubcard holders.
